CardioStart Supply & Equipment Donation Program

While the skills and training of the staff are vital to ensuring a new cardiac program, it is just as important to have the necessary equipment. Here at CardioStart, we recognize that for a program to truly have sustainability after we leave, there not only needs to be the know-how, but the actual supplies to ensure a programs’ survival.

Therefore, to ensure that our programs are conducted with the same standards of care as countries with advanced cardiac care programs, we also run a CardioStart Donation Program.   We collect medical supplies donated to us by other volunteers, various hospitals and medical equipment manufacturers.

Though many of these donations have been carried to our destinations in the forms of thousands of extra suitcases carried by hand by our volunteers, the majority of donations are sent by a 40-foot container to a mission site that has expressed a great need in order to keep their cardiac programs going. These donations are then dispersed throughout departments and local clinics affiliated with the hospital, helping to meet basic care needs in the community as well. Our donations are sorted, boxed and packed into the container entirely by volunteers!

So far have made over 57 shipments!!

How can I help?

  • Encourage interest among fellow healthcare workers.
  • Help personally either by volunteering at one of the warehouse locations (Tampa or Oregon)
  • Send supplies. Please contact  us at info@cardiostart.org

THANK YOU to those hospitals and companies that have continuously shown us support!
